SOUP CONTEST 3-27-2010 AT 5 PM AT J'S DOWN UNDER
Meatball Contest 4-17-10 At 5 pm at J's Down Under
Food Contestants:
1. Food entries need to pre-register at least two days prior to the contest
2. Contestants must bring in at least a 3 qt crock pot of the food item if hot or
comparable if cold
3. A $5 entry fee will be required to ensure that contestants bring the the food
item which will be returned on the day of contest with the delivery of their entry
4. All contestants forfeit their entry fee if they fail to show up with their entry
5. Food entries must be dropped off upstairs in the restaurant at least 1/2 hour prior
to the start of the contest for anonymity.
6. Contestants may name their food item at another chance of prize winnings for
name contest
7. Minimum 5 entries and Maximum of 15 entries
8. Entrants will be disqualified if caught revealing their entry to the judges
Judging:
1. All those paying a $2 tasting fee will be permitted to judge the food entries
of that day
2. The food entries will be brought down in tasting cups one entry at a time
3. The judges will be permitted to make notes about the food entries for judging
4. The judges can ask for second tasting to make a final decision
5. The judges will write down their favorite choice of the food entries on a
voting card
6. The judges will write down their favorite name of the food choices on the
voting card
7. Majority of the judges will determine the winner
Prizes:
Prizes will be determined by the amount of money collected for
tasting/judging
Number of prizes will be determined by money collected and number
of entrants
